If you wouldn’t mind voting for the Louisville Zoo at the site indicated below and the date that is mentioned for us to receive a free Toyota for our Education department, would be fabulous!!  We need all the votes we can get.  Please share with friends and family to help your Zoo!  Thank you!

We Need Your Support!

We're proud to announce that the Louisville Zoo has been selected as a finalist in Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program. This program will award 100 vehicles to 100 deserving nonprofit organizations over the course of 100 days based on votes from the public.

The Louisville Zoo will be competing against four other non-profits (outside the Louisville area) on Wednesday, July 20 for the opportunity to win a new hybrid vehicle for our statewide "Zoo to You" program.

"Zoo to You" takes Zoo animals and instructors to under-served schools throughout Kentucky which would otherwise not be able to experience the wonders of the Louisville Zoo. A hybrid Toyota Highlander would allow us to visit more schools and provide critical conservation education to more students in our region.

The voting for the Louisville Zoo will ONLY take place on Wednesday, July 20 through Facebook.

We'll remind you next Wednesday, but you can sign up by visiting: http://apps.facebook.com/carsforgood

How else can you help?

  1. Forward this email to all your friends and contacts.
  2. Encourage your friends, family, coworkers and employees to vote on Wednesday, July 20!
  3. Post on your Facebook wall.
  4. Blog about it.

Every vote counts!

Thanks for supporting the Zoo!

Technology Connection--Why amn't I using it?

This is the best learning organizer I ever worked on. Still should work well.

Song: Take me home by Jeff Brisee

Passing by my eyes
Are people living lives
They flow before my gaze
Just like the memories
In my mind
I watch them from
My hiding place
In shadows so
To hide my face
And as they pass
The memories flash
Of how it felt to feel that way

And home…
I long for home…
Where is my home…
Please take me home…

Home…
Please take me home…
Where is my home…
I long for home…

I watch the people
Not because
I wanna be their friend
I watch them not
Because I hope to know
Them in the end
I simply watch
And ask myself
Why do I feel this way
How did I get here
Can I hope
To feel again someday
To feel the feelings
That they feel…
To hope, to love, to cry
To fall and feel the pain
Or rise in triumph to the sky

And home…
I long for home…
Where is my home…
Please take me home…

Home…
Please take me home…
Where is my home…
I long for home…

All I have are memories
Of the times
When things were good
Memories of the days
Of when I felt
The way I should
Memories now that
Flow before the view
Inside my mind
Just as the passing people
Flow before my open eyes
Oh God! How can I be
Like them
Is there a way to
Start again
I know there is
I know its there
I’ll find it
I don’t really care
What I have to go through
What I lose and what I lack
I know my heart
Can feel again
If I can only
Find my way back

Home…
I’m going home…
This is my home…
It feels like home…

Home…
This feels like home…
This feels like home…
This feels like home…

Home…
This feels like home…
This feels like home…
This feels like home…

I’m finally home
